8:00 –10:00: THE DIGITAL CHILD IN DIVORCE: SOCIAL MEDIA, AI, AND TECHNOLOGY.
This panel will examine the growing intersection between child development, social media, artificial intelligence, and high-conflict family systems. Drawing from research, clinical experience, and judicial perspectives, panelists will explore how modern social media platforms can be intentionally designed to capitalize on normative vulnerabilities in adolescent development, often contributing to excessive use and emotional dysregulation. Attendees will learn how social media can impact parental conflict and shape children’s perceptions and narratives within divided family systems. The panel will also consider the implications for legal and mental health professionals working with children and families.

Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at the social media world through the eyes of teens. In this interactive panel, young people will share what they are seeing, using, and talking about online, including trends, pressures, risks, and the parts of social media that adults often miss. Attendees will get a rare opportunity to ask questions, hear honest perspectives, and learn what kids are really exposed to on social platforms today.

2:45 – 5:00: PRACTICAL GUIDANCE FOR EVERY ROLE AT THE TABLE.
The final panel expands the prior presentations, providing practical guidance for parents, therapists, attorneys, mediators, evaluators, and the Court. This panel will focus on social media usage and access boundaries, children’s exposure to parental conflict in person and via electronics, and how attorneys, therapists, and parents can avoid coaching, non-neutral questioning, and use of children’s digital lives as litigation tools. Join an engaging interactive follow-up discussion about practical implementation strategies.
